Here you go.........

Tony - I was not objecting to the recent policy regarding responding to trolls. I was simply pointing out that I frequently lack self-control when it comes biting my tongue, and I am frequently guilty of responding to offensive posts.

I never took the policy as an attempt to eliminate all the great chatter that makes this board so entertaining, and I hope others did not either.

since you no longer have a space problem

any deleted text can go to a separate archive

that can be looked at, if one wants to.

so, that eliminates having to censor, it just removes it from daily view.

I like the interaction, but I also commiserate about the emotions, and the stuff that gets posted because of that.

My friend Margaret Briggs, ran one for a little while and gave up. (localgringos) A valuable lesson.

I like to hear people say what they think. (Becauwse I like to do that.) But then we have some people who have an agenda (which me may not understand -- and which may be REALLY FAR from what we expected.) A couple of these guys seem to be "poor Johnny One Nohte' same old shit, again and again; We dont't welcome that, huh?

That stuff is boring. And that's the bottoem line, I think. IS IT BORNG?

It's called content selection, fact checking and editing. Without it papers would be full of crap, unreliable, unreadable and R-rated. Books get edited too, for various reasons, like spelling, syntax and plot integrity, or sometimes not printed at all. Guess what - not everyone who can tell a great story is a great writer.

Basically he who puts out the MONEY decides what the content is - it is not censorship - it's his privilege to say what HE wants to say - not your or mine - if one does not like that, one can put out one's own money and publish what one pleases, can't one? This is fascinating as martyboard came into tonyboard:

Perhaps this question should go to the moderators.
Can they be contacted directly?
What is the point of having postings more than 2 or possibly 3 years old. Especially related to accommodations.
I can't imagine the value of old postings with the way things change. Posts: 15 | From: Asheville,NC | Registered: Jul 2006 | IP: Logged

posted 10-28-2006 05:53 PM Profile for Tony Send New Private Message Edit/Delete Post We did a general clearing of old posts about 3 months ago, but it takes a lot of time and some common sense about what is valuable and what is not. Obviously, we missed a lot, but we errored on the cautious side, trying not to delete anything that remotely had value.

If anyone would like to research old posts that could be deleted, and submit them to us, we would be forever grateful. If you find any, you could post them here, but be sure to go to the post, and copy and paste the URL from your address bar.

posted 10-28-2006 10:38 PM Profile for bubblebreaker Email bubblebreaker Send New Private Message Edit/Delete Post geez, can't believe i agree with you lad !!

And more than likely posts are purged for reasons of embarassment..
Because the person with a foul mouth you both know quite well, and he has contributed as well. Although on your board toad, you fail to follow your own logic.Since you have purged anything he ever wrote.

And then the little quote i put in from DR.Rice , you will not find it anymore either , it has been purged form all media. now why would that be.
Both of you maybe do not realize how important forums can be.

I am grateful all the more , when a belizean posts after me, since to delete what i might say , deletes the belizean as well. You could do another eamonn, (which i must be the first to mention his name) ,since ALL of his posts were purged.

Anyway toad , practice what you preach , keeping only the history you see fit , is very prejudice.Besides corrupting the actual history , soma was and is part of that history
And Tony, deleting posts to save money , when you could very EASY get it from us ,is a shame.
All you need is a paypal account.

Just because people get embarassed answering old posts is no reason to delete them. Posts: 4478 | From: carcassonne, france | Registered: Apr 2002 | IP: Logged

Yeah...that pulling of the trigger was real big back then. Marty was picking off and killing whoever he felt was threatening his income. At the same time was his buddy threatening to kill you with the bullet from HIS gun. That bullet came from I'mmissing, the president of the San Pedro Social Club no less, with the encouragement of Jesse/weather as well as Amanda Syme. Nice people...huh? no beer His posse has grown since then.

"His posse has grown since then." Well at least by one. Want to bet that Ochei never gets to Belmopan. Not to worry, there is a new sheriff in town.

I recently thanked mtoy from placencia for adding her comment on BF.. I think it would also apply to Diane calling me a thief, even more so , because she is the admin and the owner is aware of her calling me a thief without a retraction or PROOF,,
------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the info you recently posted.. As i had asked repeatedly for Diane the admin of belizeforum to retract her calling me a thief.. Instead she booted me out... hey, it was only 9 years of free info..

Your statement constitutes libel and defamation. It also denigrates a group of volunteers who are providing a very important service for the Peninsula. I think they've put out 5 or 6 brush fires in just the past 5-7 days.

And, while you think you can hide behind a pseudonym, the host of this site can be compelled by the courts to reveal your name if any of these people want to take legal action against you.
